I've worked for the Federal government, run my own business for 26 years, sold hotel rooms, and chased tornadoes for fun. Odds are good I've been somewhere close to where you are right now. Pull up a chair.
My Superpower
Here's my superpower: I cut through the clutter and get to the heart of a problem fast, even if I don't know your industry. (Sometimes especially then. Fresh eyes are handy that way.)
I can also spot it when you're trying to cram a ten-pound goal into a five-pound week. We've all done it! Busy owners can spend months pushing on the wrong thing, or chasing a deadline that was never realistic to begin with.
So we catch it early. Then we build a plan that actually fits your time and your tools, and I'll hold you to it. Kindly, but I will.
The short version of a long career
I started as a clerk typist at the Department of Veterans Affairs and worked my way up to assistant personnel officer. Along the way I supported a leadership training program for executives, so I've seen up close what keeps leaders stuck.
In 1992, my late husband and I started a desktop publishing business. A year later, a neighbor talked us into building websites. That turned into 26 years of web design and internet marketing, with more than 800 clients in over 300 industries. Some were big names like Dell, IBM, 3M, AMD and the University of Texas at Austin. Most were small and mid-size businesses just like yours. The Austin Business Journal ranked us in the top 10 for Central Texas seven years in a row.
I've also been a hotel director of sales, a convention and meeting planner, and a cooking school teacher. Then I found my favorite job of all: accountability calls. I ran them for business training programs that cost up to $15,000, and I've had my own accountability partners since 2012.
Why it matters to you: I've worn so many hats that I can work with just about anybody. Whatever your business is, I'll understand the juggling act.
Things you might not guess about me
If I can do all that, we can definitely get your project off the back burner.
Now you know me. Let's talk about you.
Bring your big goal, your to-do list, and whatever keeps getting in the way. In 20 minutes, we'll find your next step.
I've chased tornadoes for fun. Booking a call is way less scary.
